What is the goal of WENGLA?
The goal is to be the first to fully split your 12 hand cards into valid combinations and finish the round.
Whoever finishes at the right moment wins the round and collects Wengs from the other players — the exact payout depends on the outcome.
What cards are in the deck?
The WENGLA deck has 138 cards: 128 number cards in 4 suits from 1 to 8 with 4 copies each, plus 10 jokers.

Each player holds 12 hand cards.
What combinations are there?
There are five valid combinations: pair, trio, quad, run and WENGLA.

How does the joker work?
The joker is a wildcard and can replace any card in a combination.
Every combination still needs at least one real card — combinations made only of jokers are not allowed. One exception: a run of 1 real card plus 7 jokers is allowed.
How does a turn work?
On your turn you draw a card and then discard a card.
Between other players' turns you can Buzz at any time if a discarded card fits your hand — more on that in the next section.
What does the Buzz button do?
The Buzz button lets you grab a card an opponent just discarded that you need.
A golden ring shows the time window you have to Buzz. If you take the card, you then discard a card yourself — your hand may never hold more than 12 cards.
When can I finish the round?
You can only finish when all 12 hand cards fully break down into valid combinations. Ten splits are allowed:
- 3 quads
- 2 quads + 2 pairs
- Quad + 2 trios + pair
- Quad + 4 pairs
- 4 trios
- 2 trios + 3 pairs
- 6 pairs
- Run + quad
- Run + 2 pairs
- WENGLA (all 12 cards the same number)
If you finish incorrectly — your cards don't actually break down fully — you pay Wengs to the other players as a penalty.
What happens after finishing?
After finishing, the player lays out their combinations face up, then the remaining cards are contested.
Suit rank rises in this order: yellow (circle), red (triangle), green (square), blue. Chapter 2 of the in-app tutorial explains the exact rules for this.
How is the payout calculated?
In rounds 1 to 5, either the other players or the finishing player pay Wengs depending on the outcome.

These amounts apply to rounds 1 through 5. From round 6 onward the amounts keep rising.
What game modes are there?
WENGLA has four modes: Tutorial, With friends, Against the AI, and Online.
- Tutorial — three chapters that walk you through the rules step by step.
- With friends — private rooms for rounds with friends.
- Against the AI — offline, against up to 9 AI opponents.
- Online — smart opponents fill open seats, so you never wait for a match.

What does WENGLA cost?
The base game is free.
The shop offers optional extras, including a weekly subscription. Every new player starts with 200 Wengs and 20 Wengcoins — the two in-game currencies.
